Harsh Criticism: TPN Claims Jokowi-Megawati Meeting Will Happen After Ganjar's Victory

During the PDIP anniversary, President Jokowi was notably absent, citing a conflicting schedule for a work visit in an ASEAN country. There was also no birthday greeting. However, when Megawati celebrated her 77th birthday, Jokowi sent an arrangement of orchids, white roses, lilies, and baby's breath, accompanied by a message, "Happy birthday to Mother Megawati Soekarnoputri. From: President Joko Widodo." Recently, there have been rumors that Jokowi requested a meeting with Megawati, though this was denied. In my opinion, this might be true. When it comes to denials, can we really believe them? For instance, Jokowi previously stated that state officials must remain neutral, yet he seems no longer neutral himself. Can Jokowi's statements be trusted anymore?

PDIP Secretary-General Hasto Kristiyanto stated that those meeting with Megawati are always open. "If someone meets with Mother, it's always open," said Hasto.

However, he believes that if a meeting with Megawati is publicized, there is a specific intention. "When it has to be conveyed to the media that someone is meeting with Mother, it means there's something," he said.

On the other hand, according to Deputy of Politics 5.0 TPN Ganjar-Mahfud, Andi Widjajanto, the meeting will take place after Ganjar-Mahfud wins in the 2024 Presidential Election.

Andi mentioned that Megawati conveyed a message for all supporters of Ganjar-Mahfud to focus on winning the election on February 14, 2024. "Mother Mega's message to us is clear: focus on winning the election on February 14, 2024, don't be distracted by other matters," he expressed.

Good. That's how it should be. Don't be diverted by non-priorities. The main task now is to focus on winning for Ganjar-Mahfud. Jokowi's matters can be considered later after the presidential election.

Personally, I feel that the rumor of a meeting between Jokowi and Megawati is due to an undisclosed motive. Is there panic or another scenario? If Jokowi indeed wants to meet, it seems quite amusing. After keeping a distance, even distancing himself from PDIP since Gibran participated in the 2024 Presidential Election, now there's talk of a meeting.

PDIP doesn't need a Jokowi as proclaimed by the opposing camp. PDIP without Jokowi will still stand strong. Ah, really?

Just look at the field; Jokowi is beginning to be avoided. Many citizens are even shouting Ganjar's name. Jokowi is no longer trusted by many. Ironically, Jokowi played a significant role in tarnishing his own reputation.
